Pokemon- Who's Hotter Misty, Dawn, Or May

Review: Bis (s) on the morning

I have read now Twilight . In the fantasy corner it like it only partially, yet it obviously has some fantasy elements. Funny, I found the classification of the library because the book was really back, "Horror". This is of course quite wrong, it's actually a love story. Through the whole positive Amazon reviews I'm curious. :-) But read for yourself how I liked it.

This book is, as the title suggests, a Vampiergeschichte. However, the title a little misleading, because the vampire story takes up only a very small part of the book. Predominant is the love story between the mortals Bella and the vampire Edward. Bella moved to her father in a tiny nest and finds in this village her dream man: Edward.

begins here even my biggest criticism. The story is almost entirely on how the two get to know and then learn to love it too. This means that almost the entire story is told. It is told constantly, as equal to God but Edward is and what great qualities he has. That bothers me a bit. Probably I am approached with different expectations of the book. I had hoped for more of the vampire story. However, that was only marginally to the fore. I thought it was funny then, when Bella discovered that Edward ekes out his existence as a vampire. Formulated a little over the top, which was then simply taken note of and taken no great surprise.

I also found it very strange that it was raining really in this place almost every day in this small town. At the end of the book was then resolved that Edwart therefore can only live there on the day, but but it is very unrealistic to describe such a place like this. I believe in the book were two or three days when the sun was shining. I found this book very strange that almost was only spoken. Almost two thirds of the book consisted of dialogues. This is me now noticed before in any other book.

Despite or perhaps because of that the book reads really well and quickly. It is very fast in it in the story and it is appreciated very much the feelings of individuals. This, in my opinion, but then always very exaggerated and stereotyped. It is also a very clear point woman, so I also think that it did not like quite so well. However, I try this Effect in my review to let the outside before and thus fair to judge the book. As I said, the book reads well and towards the end (but only on the last 100 pages) then a bit of tension is in the story is that from my point of view, a clear downside.

Conclusion: For female vampire fans is certainly highly recommend this book to me it has not, unfortunately, this book meets expectations.

The Seevagabunden - Paul Kearney

The famous "Sea Beggars by Paul Kearney are translated into German! In the summer of next year, the first installment by the two publishers Basilisk and Atlantis launched as the first publication in Germany.

So all Pirates fans can then ever reserve for next summer. In the UK and America The Mark of Ran already has provided for many positive reviews. So the first one has ever left at Pat's Fantasy Hotlist a very good impression.

The book can be already pre-ordered from the publisher, which is to say that the sign of Ran will cost € 13.90. The first edition is limited to 500 numbered copies. It is worthwhile to preorder a copy. :-) Then follows normally the second edition. A good idea, I think.
More on Paul Kearney and his Seevagabunden there are on his official website .

Jack In The Box, Actor

Review: The light in the shadow

Following a recommendation, I started with the black communities. Lynn Flewelling wrote a good 10 years on the trilogy and in my opinion, it has also paid off.

The light in the shade. The Shadow Guild 01 is the first part of the shadow guild trilogy. The story begins rather abruptly in a basement dungeon. Here the hero meets the juggler Seregil and this frees him from this prison then. The motives remain hidden, however, I guess a resolution is presented in the next parts. This then make two on their travels and in the course of this hike decides Seregil, Alec to take under his wing and teach him the thieves craft. In one of theft, they take a small inconspicuous wooden disc, the strong impact on Seregil health and history more generally.

I liked this very good start. It is very fast from the narrative and the story tied up. It is a classic fantasy story, like the East Ard story by Tad Williams. This is called a cloak and dagger story. This kind of fantasy and I like the light in the shadows, you can count on a very good representative of this fantasy direction. The

Characters of Alec and Seregil in the course of the story ever closer and it will provide even more, even slight hints that these two will be pretty close. It seems to run out, it will probably be a love affair between the two. There are hints such as: Seregil Alec looked behind him with a wistful look. I'm not sure whether homosexuality belongs in a fantasy novel, but why not? It is certainly something refreshingly different.

Furthermore I also like very much that there are no major battles in this book, there are only a few minor skirmishes and the book as a whole is not designed for action. The body swap between Seregil and a servant was a very refreshing idea how to use magic. Magic also plays a very important role in this trilogy.

All in all, the prelude to the trilogy I liked very much, except for a few lengths and one or two boring chapters, this book is recommended strongly.
